Eaton Aerospace, a world leader in aerospace hydraulic and fuel systems, provides products to major aircraft manufacturers around the world including Airbus and Boeing.
When requiring a comprehensive equipment package, to re-equip shopfloor inspection facilities, the company approached Mech Metrology, a regular partner in previous projects to help. After discussing the customers inspection requirements, we recommended the most suitable equipment and arranged manufacturer demonstrations to key personnel. The package ranged from simple micrometers to 'cutting edge' non contact measuring machines.
One of the many advantages of dealing with Mech Metrology is that the company is not 'tied' to a single manufacturer and can therefore offer a range of equipment solutions, that best suit the customer and their applications.
The final package included a 'Tesascan' turned part non-contact inspection machine, a 'Mitutoyo Surftest' SV3000 Surface Finish Analyser, 'Bowers' Bore Gauges, surface tables and 'Sigma' Comparators, together with a range of small tools, and air gauging equipment.
Completed in 2007, this project represented an investment in excess of £75,000 by Eaton Aerospace.
