Legionnaires' Thermometer Kit
Incorrect water temperature is a key risk factor for legionella growth. The legionella bacteria multiply in water temperatures between 20 to 45°C, particularly if a supply of nutrients is present, such as scale, rust, sludge or algae. A typical method of control is to store cold water below 20°C. Hot water should be stored above 60°C and distributed at above 50°C.
This thermometer kit can be used to monitor the temperature of both standing water and the surface pipes and tanks that form part of the water system.
The immersion probe should be placed in the water to a minimum depth of 25mm; the ribbon surface probe may be used to take the temperature of pipes and tanks, and the wire probe can be used to reach awkward places or where the other probes are not appropriate. This kit comes with a traceable certificate of calibration.

The Therma 1 digital thermometer is a rugged and easy to use instrument that operates through the range of -100 to 1372°C with a 0.1°C or 1°C resolution. The thermometer is housed in a robust ABS case that contains 'Biomaster' additive that helps to reduce bacterial growth.

This PTFE insulated, exposed junction wire probe is suitable for measuring the air temperature in fridges, freezers, ovens etc. Response time less than 0.5 of a second. Probe temperature range -60 to 250°C.
1 x Countdown Timer
This countdown timer offers IP65 waterproof protection along with a large digital display and loud audible alarm with variable volume control. The keypad allows the user to set times up to 99 hours, 99 minutes and 99 seconds. The timer incorporates magnetic pads and a keyhole slot for wall-mounting or attaching to an appliance. The unit is powered by a single AAA battery.
